Just now releasing his second album, Love & Hate, Michael Kiwanuka is a soulful star on the rise (he just scored the title track to HBO’s new series Big Little Lies). So when Leah found the music video contest for his song Home Again, we of course jumped at the collaboration. The ask was to re-imagine the meaning of “Home.” Having just returned from filming with NeeNee Productions, in remote Ugandan refugee camps, the idea of HOME was heavy on us. We met 29 incredible girls there, surviving at a crossroads of suffering, and redefining HOPE and… HOME.

Thank you FilmAid International for honoring these girls and selecting our film. But congratulations mostly to these young women, for their COURAGE. Their open hearts and personal stories will open eyes everywhere.
